The recently completed Annada Gobinda Public Library Building inaugurated on the 25th October,2002. The Square Group deserves the great credit to the survival of this old library which was almost ruined due to financial problem.

The inauguration ceremony consisted grand and colorful rally and cultural events.

*In a world bank report, the Birahimpur village of Sujanagar Thana was reported as the most arsenic affected village in Rajshahi Division. About 0.27% arsenic is present in tube well water in that village.

*The deputy commissioner of Pabna,Mr.Ashraful Mokbul has been transferred to Dhaka North zone. 

*The newly constructed water treatment plant and  overhead tank near Bashbazar was inaugurated on the 24th October by the Municipal chairman Mr.Mosharraf  Hossain.n .And this will provide iron free water in Shibrampur,Shalgaria and Arifpur.

*On the 19th September,2002 ,HSC result was published in Pabna as well as in the whole country.Pabna Cadet College students showed the best performance by achieving 9 places.Pabna women's college student Nurjahan Nupur achieved the 3rd place among the girls.

*115th birthday of Thakur Anukul Chandra celebrated at Anukul Asram 16th September.

*On the 1st September the newly constructed Sonali Bank building was inaaugarated.This capacious building is just beside the old bus stand and from now the clients will feel more comfort and  get better service.
