An old picture, depicting the calm and quite nature
during November month. Small water stream near the Padma and countryside locality in the background. Very common picture of Bangladesh indeed. But today, at the same place the scene is quite different. Overpopulated locality with a plastic factory is polluting the surroundings.

Gold at last! Yes, Bangladesh has won 7 gold medals in the 3rd SAF Shooting Championship held in Karachi, Pakistan between 1-7 November. And Pabna Rifle Club Shooter Mr.Khondokar Majid Mohammad Johnny is one of the participants who has contributed successfully for winning 3 gold in the Junior Group.
After the disastrous performance in the Sydney Olympic, this achievement will help both the shooters and Bangladeshi sports-enthusiasts and sports-lovers to look hopefully in future sports.

We congratulate on the success of the Bangladeshi shooting team.

The last week of October was cloudy and rainy due to the depression in the bay. This in fact has helped the the plantation of coming winter vegetation.
Meanwhile Winter seems to have approached towards the northern part of the country. Calm and less temperate sunny days(yes no hartal  till now!) with usual enthusiasm for plantation of flower- and vegetable-plants. Folk are also preparing their winter quilts. Quilt makers are seen with their guitarlike(!) instrument.

And power load-shedding is apparently less now-as irrigation pumps are in rest  and secondly temperature is in comfortable range. the 71Mega watt Power plant named as Bijoyer Alo at Baghabari is now converted from oil to gas driven plant.

School pupils are busy with their annual examination. Instead of December, now school annual exams are finished in November-as December is the month of jubilance-month of our national pride. And this year they will get vacation in  almost entire December-V-day(16),X-mas(25) and Eid ul fitr(25-30).     

And flower plants are sold here and there. in the town Sunflower,merrygold,crisenthimum,dahlia,dianthus,callendula are among the winter flower which are to be planted now.

Tiler Khaja,a sweet delicacy especially belonging to the Northern region of Bangladesh is sold by the vendors, their melodious sound makes even the non bangla speaking foreigners enthusiastic for Tiler Khaja.

By introducing WAPable mobile telephone, The Swedish Ericsson company is contributing  in the field of mobile internet in Bangladesh. At present the Grameen Phone has its network in Pabna district from Ishurdi to Sirajganj,communities situated beside the railroad are under the coverage of mobile telephone network and Pabna town will came under this coverage within a few months according to the Grameen Network project.

Folk-theatre festival in Santhia:A three-day long folk -theatre festival took place in Santhia an Santhia High School field. Diverse programmes like baul music, countryside play, solo art exhibition, ritual songs were among the events.

And 2nd division Meril Cup Football has started in the stadium on the 26th October.

In the division 3(under 16)  football  Sadhupara Agrani Shilpi Sangha has become champion.
